Troopers Seize Over 9 lbs of Marijuana and 151 Plants
At approximately 4:26 PM (1-3-12) Michigan State Police Troopers from
the Mt. Pleasant post responded with Deputies from the Isabella County
Sheriff Department to a residential alarm at a Union Township residence.
A protective sweep of the residence revealed an illegal growing
operation. Troopers obtained a search warrant for the residence which
resulted in the seizure of 151 marijuana plants and 9 and ¾ pounds of
Marijuana. Additionally, weapons were seized from the residence and one
individual was arrested on unrelated outstanding warrants.
Troopers from the Mt. Pleasant post were assisted by Deputies from the
Isabella County Sheriff Department as well as the Central Michigan
University Police department.
