Severe storms hit county
A series of storms hit mid-Michigan Sunday afternoon and again early Memorial Day, causing power outages, downing limbs and damaging property mainly in the northern half of Clare County.
Harrison and Dodge City were hardest hit with trees down and damage at the Budd Lake Boat launch caused by a fallen tree. More trees went down on Timberlane Road, off County Farm. Harrison city crews worked until nearly 3 a.m. assisting with cleanup of downed wires..
Consumers Energy reported more than 2,000 homes without power throughout the county. Power was complete restored by Monday.
