Eric Donia Herron, arrested last January on methamphetamine drug charges stemming from a BAYANET raid on his home in Harrison, is now facing additional charges, according to Clare County Prosecutor Michelle Ambrozaitis.
January 11, Herron, was charged with eight counts including delivery, manufacture, possession and operating a lab involving methamphetamine and hazardous waste. :
A February preliminary and Circuit Court arraignment were waived. In May, the defendant fired his attorney and the matter was re-scheduled and remanded to the District Court for a preliminary exam in June. After motions were filed by both defense and prosecution the matter was re-scheduled for a preliminary exam under Judge Joshua Ferrell in District Court August 31.
That preliminary examination was held and two more counts were added:
Count 9: Conspiracy – Delivery/Manufacture Methamphetamine/Ecstasy
Count 10: Operating and Maintaining a Drug House
Arguments by the Defense for reduction in bond were denied by the Court. The Defendant was scheduled for a Circuit Court Arraignment on Tuesday in front of Judge Thomas Evans.
