Hi-Speed comes to Freeman
Broad smiles are in order for these Freeman Township residents. They are standing next to their recently errected 160 foot tall Broadband Tower. The tower, with it’s High Speed Internet Broadcast System, became fully operational on September 17, 2012. The service is located near the second highest point in Clare County and is expected to provide wide area coverage for all four western Clare County townships.
“It was a three year struggle “ Pat Humphrey said. “but it was worth it to be able to provide highspeed internet service to our rural families”.
“This is a proud moment for Clare County” said Clare County Commissioner Jerry Burger. “This shows what government and the people working together can accomplish.”
