Davis named All-American Volleyball Scholar Athlete
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2012 Volleyball Scholar Athletes. Becky Davis, of Farwell, Michigan,has been named as a NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete. In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, the student-athlete must maintain a minimum gpa of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
Davis plays both middle and right-side for the Graceland Yellowjackets. With a current gpa of 3.88, she will graduate in May, 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Athletic Training and Wellness Program Management and minors in Biology, Health, and Fitness Leadership.
Following graduation, Davis plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training with a goal to work as an athletic trainer in the National Football League.
