Eigner, Warner garner top honors at JPC league meet
The Jack Pine Conference bowling teams competed at Beaverton’s Beaverton Bowl on Saturday, competing in the league’s individual tournament. Farwell’s Jacob Eigner won the boy’s competition with a four game score of 910 while Clare’s Katie Warner took top honors with a four game tally of 682.
In the boy’s portion, other county finishers were Jordan Hales of Clare with an 814 with a second place finish, Harrison’s Quincy Jones took third with an 811 with his teammate Chase Howley coming in fifth at 763.
A pair of Clare bowlders came in seventh and eighth, with Douglas Prince coming in seventh at 749 and Dalton Cipoletti coming in eighth at 747.
Riley Skornicka of Farwell placed ninth at 706 with Kyle Duffett of Clare coming in 13th with a score of 687.
Ryan Hubbard of Harrison was the area’s next top finisher with a 14th place score of 685,with a trio of Farwell rollers coming in behind in Josh Gross at 15th with a 680, Kyle Skornicka was 16th at 662 and CJ Fielder was 17th at 661.
Justin Calkins of Clare rounded out the top-20 with a score of 635.
Area finishes behind Warner in the girl’s portion were Courtney King of Harrison in third with a combined score of 651, Kay Musser of Clare placed sixth with a score of 598 and Ashleigh Sanderson of Harrison came in 10th at 571.
Toni Boyd carded a four game score of 566 to come in 11th, with teammates Lauren Eigner coming in 13th and Alex Osmond coming in 14th. Eighner had a score of 559 and Osmond rolled a 558.
Samantha Warner of Clare rounded out the top-20, rolling a 504.
All three teams begin division three regional action on Saturday. Clare heads to Park Center Lanes in Grand Rapids while Farwell and Harrison compete the Cheboygan Bowling Center in Cheboygan.
