Harrison girls fall to Gladwin
The Harrison Lady Hornets dropped a lopsided Jack Pine Conference girls basketball game at Gladwin on Monday, falling to the Lady Flying G’s 50-21.
Gladwin led 16-2 after the first and pushed its lead to 23-7 at the half. The Flying G’s finished off the win with scoring edges of 13-7 in the third and 14-7 in the fourth.
Olivia Sharp led Harrison with six points and four rebounds, Brooke Colville had five points, Erica Heckman had four points, five rebounds and four assists and Allison Lipovsky added five boards.
On Thursday, Feb. 14 the Lady Hornets dropped a league match-up at Houghton Lake, 50-45.
The Lady Bobcats led 11-9 after the first but Harrison used a 12-9 scoring edge in the second to lead 21-20 at the half.
H-L used a slim 13-12 scoring edge in the third to tie the game at 33-all entering the fourth, where Bobcats outscored Harrison 17-12 to hand the Hornets a loss.
Jessica Scherrer led Harrison with 11 points and three rebounds, Lipovsky had 10 points and three boards, Sharp had seven points and four rebounds and Colville added seven points, three rebounds and three blocks.
Harrison (5-14 overall, 2-11 JPC) hosted Meridian on Thursday and plays Evart at Pine River on Monday in its district opener.
