The search for Bonnie Baker’s missing daughter is over.

Cadillac police called Baker Thursday morning and said they had found the missing 20-year-old. “I still don’t know where she is at, but I’m glad to know that she is okay,” Baker said. “Hopefully she will call again and tell me to come and get her.”

Baker said her daughter, Ruthann Kramer, went for a walk Monday evening around 9 p.m. and hadn’t been heard from since then.

She said her daughter had mentioned that she wanted to go to Cadillac, her former home and the home of her brothers., but she said family and friends in Cadillac haven’t seen or heard from Ruthann.

Baker said she had difficulty trying to report her daughter missing to various agencies. She said she called the Clare County Sheriff’s Department, who referred her to the State Police Post in Mt. Pleasant, who in turn referred her to the Cadillac State Police Post, who referred her back to the Clare County Sheriff’s Department. She said in a phone interview around 1:30 p.m. that she was calling them again at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

An official at the Clare County Sheriff’s Department said a little earlier Wednesday that they hadn’t been contacted yet to report the 20-year-old missing.

Undersheriff Dwayne Miedzianowski said the department had checked all of their incoming calls and found no record of Baker contacting the department earlier, but that she had called to report her daughter missing later Wednesday afternoon.

Miedzianowski said he and detectives interviewed the family late Wednesday, checked the missing woman’s electronic communications, used a tracking dog to search the area where she was last seen, and contacted the authorities between her home and Cadillac. A BOL (be on the lookout) bulletin was also issued with Kramer’s photo. “We are doing everything we can to find her,” Miedzianowski said Wednesday night. He said the department was assisted in the area search by the Canine Unit from the Saginaw-Chippewa Police Department in Mt. Pleasant.

An update to the CCSD intitial release Thursday morning said “Kramer had been located in Wexford County and had made contact with her family.”

Baker said her daughter has been diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) and sometimes goes by different names including Ruth, Rue and Jynx or Jynxie. She had reported her missing in a Facebook post Wednesday.
