Photographer Tom Cradit speaks to Arts Council
Local Clare photographer, Tom Cradit will be featured in a program on Feb. 12 at the Clare County Arts Council general meeting. It will be held at the Pere Marquette Library in Clare at 6:30 P.M. The public is invited and is free. Bring a friend and enjoy hearing how Tom became interested in photography.
Tom has spent most of his adult life in graphic arts, from designing advertising for print media to writing copy for commercials on broadcast media.
“I always had a love for the visual arts”, said Tom “and took up photography as a young adult.” He spent many years with ‘film’ cameras and in darkrooms developing and printing photos. Black and whites, color prints and color slides gave him the chance to express what his mind and eyes saw through a camera lens.
Cruising the highways and trekking through the forests, camera in hand, Tom is still looking for that elusive ‘one great shot’. Working for the Clare County Convention and Visitors Bureau over the past year has added even more experiences to his life and portfolio. His work can be viewed at www.tomcradit.com. Join members and friends of the Clare County Arts Council Feb.12 at the Pere Marquette Library, Clare 6:00 P.M. to meet Tom Cradit and view his remarkable photography art.
