Three arrested in Lake meth bust

A couple from Lake and an Evart man were arrested in a drug bust in the Play Land Subdivision in Garfield Township last Thursday, March 28th.
During the search Detectives seized both meth and marijuana at the home on Cedar Street and three people were arrested: William Lee Murdock, 42 and Cheryl Irene Murdock, 44, both of Lake and Mark Eward Wible, 48 of Evart.
Detectives from BAYANET, the Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team, and Clare County Sheriff’s Detectives executed a search warrant at the Cedar Street residence after gathering information that individuals at the house had a large amount of methamphetamine and were selling it. The investigation revealed that the drug was made at an Osceola County location.
William Murdock wascharged and arraigned with operating a maintaining a methamphetamine lab; possession of methamphetamine; and maintaining a drug house. His bond was set at $150,000 cash/surety or ten percent and he remains lodged at the Clare County Jail.
Cheryl Murdock was charged with operating and maintaining a methamphetamine lab; possession of methamphetamine; and maintain a drug house. She was arraigned in 80th District Court and her bod set at $100,000 cash/surety or ten percent. She also remains lodged at the jail in Harrison.
Mark Wible was charged with possession with intent to deliver meth and after arraignment in 80th District Court his bond was set at $30,000 cash according to a release from Detective Sgt. Mike Coon.
