Clare remains perfect with Gladwin sweep

The Clare baseball team kept its perfect league record in tact Tuesday night, topping visiting Gladwin 7-0 and 4-2.
Logan Emery earned the win for Clare in game one and had four total hits on the day.
Charlie Bugbee won game tow, pitching seven innings and striking out seven batters. Colton Punches had three doubles, with James Baer and Conner Clickner both getting two hits apiece.
On Thursday, May 9 Clare swept host Ogemaw Heights, 3-0 and 4-2 in a non-league matchup.
Hunter Ruby earned the win in game one, giving up one hit and striking out 10 batters.
Punches won game two, while Logan Emery had four hits on the day and Garrett Jenkins had two.
Clare (17-1 overall, 12-0 JPC) played at Meridian on Thursday, in a crucial JPC contest. A split ensure the Pioneers the JPC title. Clare also plays Saturday at the Glen Lake tournament and play at Chippewa Hills May 25.
