C. Warren White
He was born September 2, 1945 the 4th child of Richard J. and Marvel M. (Hilyard) White in Adrian, Michigan. He attended schools in Sand Creek and Adrian and completed his high school studies in Coldwater. He worked a number of jobs spending 10 years at Peter Eckrich in Quincy and 24 years as a sales representative for the M.E.T.T. Co of Howell.
He retired in 2010 and moved to Lake George, Michigan. Warren was an active member of the B.P.O. Elks; progressing to Exalted Ruler of Coldwater Elks #1023 in 1985. He later transferred to the Howell Elks #2168 and was active in various activities there.
He served as President of the Michigan State Elks Bowling Association in 2001 and bowled in state and national tournaments for many years. Besides bowling, he was an avid golfer; achieving a hole-in-one in 1974.
He bowled a 300 game in 2010. He also enjoyed dancing and doing crossword puzzles. He loved to travel and enjoyed golfing in Arizona in the winter.
He is survived by his second wife, T. Gail White, and children: Ty (Sue) White of Adrian, Ryan (Heather) White of Blissfield and stepchildren: Patty (John L.) Sullivan of Port Charlotte, FL, David (LeAnne) Braun of Howell, Donald (Dani) Braun of Howell. His sisters: Marjorie (Allen) Suydam of Wauseon, OH and Joanne (Bud) Fricke of Clifton, TX also survive. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Thomas (1995), Roger (2005) and Richard (2007).
Visitation Sunday, 1 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a memorial service Monday, June 10, 11:00 a.m. at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, 315 N. Michigan Ave., Howell (517-546-2800). A luncheon will follow at the Howell Elks where friends and family can gather to share hugs and memories in his honor.
