A joint BAYANET, Clare City and Clare County Sheriff’s Department team, armed with warrants, conducted drug raids at three locations in Clare Wednesday. The officers nabbed six suspects on multiple narcotics charges according to a release from Clare Chief Brian Gregory Thursday afternoon.
The Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team, two Clare City officers and three deputies from the Clare County Sheriff’s Department conducted the raids and made the arrests without incident, Chief Gregory said.
Four suspects were arrested at a location on the north end of the city, one was arrested at a Fifth Street address and another was arrested at a residence on Sixth Street.
All six were lodged at the Clare County Jail pending their 80th District Court arraignment, which was expected sometime Thursday. As of press time Thursday, names had not yet been released and the suspects had not yet been arraigned according to a source at the Clare County Prosecutor’s office.
