Brandon and Amanda Huddleston would like to announce the birth of their son, Braden James Huddleston on June 16, 2013 at 8:15 am. He weighed 8 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long. Proud big sister is Aubrey. Proud grandparents are Mitch and Anne Canel, Alan and Darlene Jessup. Great Grandparents are Roy and Hilda Burmeister and James Hobbs.

The Clare Area Junior Golf Association opened the season at Eagle Glen Golf Club June 10, 2013. Over 50 young girls and boys ages 8-18 participated in three days of lessons and age related tournaments. July artist of the month The Clare County Arts Council is proud to present Jeanette Stewart showing her oil paintings in “Her Place” in Clare. “ Her Place” is located on the corner of McEwan and Fifth Street in downtown Clare, next to Cops & Doughnuts. By Pat Maurer Correspondent 40 drivers, representing 13 transit agencies competed for the “top driver” spot at the first annual Mid-Michigan Regional Small Bus Roadeo at the CCTC in Harrison Saturday. Deanna Hughes of Gladwin took home first place honors in the event, with second place going to Dan Miller of Clinton; third to Harold Smith of Gladwin; and “Top Rookie” designation going to Robert Sample of Sanilac.
