CCAC features Musician
The Clare County Arts Council will feature musician Dan Lake at their monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the Pere Marquette Library in Clare. Time is 6:30.
Dan is the co-owner of Central Michigan Music in downtown Clare with his lifelong friend Jim Cook. Central Michigan Music opened March13 of this year and is located in downtown Clare on North McEwan street. They have over 80 students taking lessons in a variety of musical instruments. i.e. guitar, drums, bass, violin, vocal, mandolin, banjo and ukulele.
Dan says his inspiration and love for music came from his father who always allowed him to express himself musically. Dan grew up in Farwell and played in the band 5-12 grade in percussion. He started with guitar in 8th grade and has never stopped.
You will find Dan and Jim and his father jamming on Friday nights from 6-8 p.m. at the store. Bring a friend and join Dan Aug. 13th at the Pere Marquerte Library in Clare for some great music.
