Runaway teens still missing
By Pat Maurer
Four days after they were reported missing, police are still looking for a 13-year-old Clare girl and a 14-year-old Mt. Pleasant boy who may have stolen a family vehicle and run away Sunday morning.
Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski of the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department said the two: Jayden Nicole Thomas and Braxton Michael Edward Wood had a dating relationship at one time but had not been seeing each other recently.
The teens have been missing since Monday morning and Officers believe they are driving a 2005 black Ford Explorer with the Michigan license plate BCQ4820.
They may be headed to a friends home in Florida, Mioduszewski said.

At a Thursday press conference, parents and family said they don’t believe the two had enough money to go that far. There reported that the two only had $82 between them.
They believe the teens may still be in Michigan and may have gone up north and are camping. Some of the places they might have wanted to go to include Mio, Traverse City, and Mackinaw Island.
With the Labor Day holiday here, they are hoping someone will see the youngsters and call police.
If anyone sees the vehicle or teens, please contact your local police agency or Isabella County Central Dispatch at (989) 773-1000.
