Volleyball teams struggle

The Farwell volleyball team fell to visiting Houghton Lake on Monday night, suffering a straight sets Jack Pine Conference loss.
The Lady Bobcats won by scores of 25-22, 25-15 and 25-22.
Caron White led the team with 10 kills, two aces, two digs and one block, Kendra Robison had three kills and one dig, Dani Hanna had nine digs and two kills, Kate Saupe added five digs, three aces, three assists and one block.
Farwell (7-8-1 overall, 1-2 JPC) played at Harrison on Wednesday and hosts a league quad on Monday.
The Clare volleyball team lost a road JPC contest at Roscommon on Monday, falling 25-8, 25-13 and 25-21.
Alex Rowell led the Lady Pioneers with three kills, Laura Walton and Mackenzie Thayer both had two and Krysten Kruskamp added one kill.
Clare (0-3 JPC) hosted Meridian on Wednesday and plays in a league quad on Monday in Harrison.
The Harrison volleyball team also played Monday night, falling to host Gladwin in straight sets. The Lady G’s won with scores of 25-5, 25-13 and 25-11.
The Hornets were led by Haley Sulla with 10 kills and three aces and Alexis Lachappa had eight kills.
Harrison (0-3) JPC hosted Farwell on Wednesday and hosts a league quad on Monday.
