Missing man found face down in puddle

Duchamp, who suffers from dementia, reportedly walked away from his home around 6 p.m. October 9.
Michigan State Police Troopers put out a bulletin and asked the public to watch for him when they began searching with the k9 officer and canine.
Around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning, Troopers led by the K9 dog found Duchamp lying in water in a wooded swampy area about a half mile west of his home.
He was reported as conscious and wet, unable to walk and suffering from exposure.
Mobile Medical Response Ambulance Service transported Duchamp to MidMichigan Medical Center – Clare where he was treated for exposure.
State Police were assisted in the search by the MSP Houghton Lake K9 unit, MSP Aviation Unit, the Department of Natural Resources Law Division, Clare County Sheriff’s Department Reserves and personnel from the Lake of the Pines Property Owners Association.
