Foundation awards grant to JA
Junior Achievement of Central Michigan is pleased to announce that a grant recently awarded by the *Clare County Community Foundation will provide JA’s financial literacy programs in Clare Primary School.
The grant will be used to fund ten new programs impacting approximately 250 area children.
Elementary school students will learn important lifelong skills through JA programs presented by business and community volunteers that teach students how business works and how to manage the money they will earn.
“We are pleased that Clare County Community Foundation is supporting Junior Achievement enabling us to further our mission of educating and inspiring students to succeed in a global economy,” said Mike Rush, President of JA of Central Michigan.
JA of Central Michigan provides programs cost-free to schools in Clare, Gladwin, Midland, Isabella and Gratiot counties.
Junior Achievement is an independent non-profit and receives funding through special events, community donations and grants.
