Watch D.O.G.S. program kicks off
Students and fathers and father-figures of Clare Primary School kicked off a new innovative father involvement program called WATCHD.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students). WATCH D.O.G.S.® is the father involvement initiative of the National Center For Fathering. Inspired by one father’s desire to increase male involvement in his children’s school and with the help of the schools teachers and administration, WATCH D.O.G.S was created in 1998 at George Elementary in Springdale, AR. Since then, the program has spread to more than 3156 schools in over 46 states and other countries abroad.
They kicked off the WATCH D.O.G.S program on October 24 2013 with 150 father figures in attendance. We had 118 days that were open for volunteers, all but 36 of the days are filled and many of these days are filling up already. There are no open days between now and Christmas break.
