Mary cannot help or save us: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (II Timothy 2:5). Jesus predicted the earthquakes, not Mary. Jesus predicted the end of the world, not Mary. Beware of demonic apparitions claiming to be of God. Look to the Lord and be save: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved." Jesus saves, never Mary.

Luke 21:11 (King James Version)

11And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Well I for one don't think that John was being self righteous! Most of us would do well to pay heed to what he says.

Be prepared for 2014, not 2012.
Christ came for 33 years. Now His Mother comes for 33 years. The world dramatically changes at the end of her 33 years. She is here. Now! She will not come again. Be prepared. She leads us to her Son. Will we listen?
God bless and enlighten us, and have mercy on us, who are so bold as to reject Your image, Your Spirit, that You breathed into us, to make us in Your Likeness. Have mercy on us, O Lord.

Having said that, please don't misconstrue criticizing the message with criticizing the messenger.. For all I know the author could easily be much holier than I, or be a greater contributor to charity than I... and I say that with all sincerity.. My remarks were simply in reply to the article and not meant as a personal attack on the author..

As for the comment I made that you felt I was being self-righteous.. Well, in any situation where our brethren are in dire need of help we have a choice to make.. either turn and walk away or jump in to help wherever we can help... Not everyone can help the same way and it does not make me any better a person simply because I'm blessed with an opportunity to go to Haiti and help... Those unable to go can still help in many ways that are just as important.. We are all each parts of one body that make up a whole.. people can make donations.. People can sponsor a family or a child.. People can pray ... And people can use their access to the media to promote and encourage help where help is needed.. That what I was suggesting in the words I spoke.. So again, it was never my intent to come across self-righteous, but to simply change the invitation from one of running the other way to hide, to one of taking a leap of faith by coming forward to help those in need when help is needed..

People have helped me all of my life.. Now I'm being given an opportunity to help and as a believer I thank God for that because personally, I believe I can do absolutely nothing that bears good fruit without God's help.. If that makes me come across as self-righteous because I felt the need to call a spade a spade then so be it... But again, it's not about me being better than anyone.. It's about all of us coming out of our protective shells to step forward and to help one another..

"Where is Jesus in agony in our own time?
In the division of our world into belts of prosperity
and belts of poverty ... this is Christ’s agony today.
Our world is made of two rooms:
in one room, things go to waste,
in the other, people are wasting away;
in one room, people die from surfeit,
in the other, they die from indigence;
in one room, they are concerned about obesity,
in the other, they are begging for charity.

Why don’t we open a door?
Who don’t we sit at one table?
Why don’t we realize that the poor
can help the rich?
Why? Why? Why are we so blind?
