Kunse, Bicknell named Love Light Trees Co-Chair’s
Love Light Trees will light the community for the 23rd holiday season following the opening ceremony at MidMichigan Medical Center-Clare on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at 7 p.m.
Co-chairpersons of this friend and fund-raising event are former Medical Center board member Barbara Kunse of Clare, and Wendy Bicknell, respiratory care manager of the Medical Center. Kunse stated, “It is with pride and honor that I serve as co-chairman with Wendy for the annual Love Light Trees event for MidMichigan Medical Center-Clare. The hospital offers excellent health care services to our community and the surrounding area. This campaign affords the public an opportunity to show their support and commitment to this worthwhile event. Your generous donations will benefit our community and embrace your memories of loved ones.”
Gifts from this year’s Love Light Trees project will help to purchase a cardiac rehabilitation management system. The Quinton Q-Tel Cardiac Rehabilitation Management System provides state of the art digital transmitter technology developed to quickly identify changes in the heart and provide nurses and therapists with the tools needed to report feedback to both the patient and their physician.
Lights placed on the evergreens located on the Medical Center campus symbolize contributions given to the program. Love Light Trees gifts may be donated in memory of loved ones or in honor of grandparents, teachers, babysitters and friends. The public is welcome to attend the Love Light Trees lighting ceremony on Dec. 2, 7 p.m., in front of the Medical Center.
Love Light Trees information containing contribution forms are being mailed to homes, inserted in area newspapers and are available on line at www.midmichigan.org/donations. Forms may also be picked up at the Medical Center’s main entrance. Those wanting more information may call Wendy Bicknell at (989) 802-5099.
