Lake George man hit by car

A 45 year-old Lake George man who was walking on Forrest Avenue Tuesday was hit by a car driven by a 25 year-old Lake George woman.

According to the Clare County Sheriff’s Department the man was walking west on the shoulder of the road when the woman’s vehicle crossed the center line, left the road and hit the man.

Reportedly the man crawled to the Swiss Inn nearby where he was able to get assistance. The woman who hit him was found sitting in her car near the Swiss Inn where officers removed her keys and arrested.

The victim was taken to Mid Michigan Medical Center – Clare and later transferred due to his injuries.
