Farwell wins big 42-0; sets two school record

 

Farwell, now 2-0, recorded their first shutout win in ten years against Big Rapids Crossroads Academy.

 

Quarterback Dylan Fritz threw a school record of four touchdowns; he completed 7 of 12 passes for 123 yards.

 

Taylor Otto led the Eagles’ defense with 10 tackles. He also had 13 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Taylor Sutton assisted with six tackles, two sacks and an interception.

 

Farwell only allowed 85 total offense yards.

 

 

Harrison slides past Evart in OT

 

Quarterback Justin Theisen scored the winning run on an eight-yard carry to lead the Hornets over Evart, 28-20 last Friday at Evart.

 

Harrison (1-1) had three-ball carriers rush for more than one hundred yards and scored one touchdown: Bill Yager, Caleb Stanton and Jake Lipvosky.

 

Clare gets the best of Rivals, 28-7

 

Cousins Matt and Kris English led the Pioneers to a victory over the Beal City Aggies, 28-7.

 

Clare (2-0) led the Aggies 21-7 at halftime.

 

Quarterback Kris English completed four of five passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 60 yards; he scored the only touchdown in the second half with a one-yard run.

 

Receiver Matt English had three catches for 141 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Cameron Allen led the Pioneers’ defense with 17 tackles; Tyler Gillis assisted with 16.
