Big R & Smokin’ Joe’s 4th Hospice benefit Saturday

Big R & Smokin’s Joe’s fourth annual Ride for Hospice benefit takes place Saturday with registration from 10 to 10:30 a.m. and riders departing from the Clare Moose Lodge at 10:30 a.m.

Five stops are planned on the Scavenger Run (bike ride): McFarlands Tavern, Swiss Inn, Temple Bar, Buckhorn Tavern and the Rockwood Lounge. Motorcycle riders (cars are welcome too) will wind up at the Clare Moose Lodge where a pig roast will be served from 3 to 6 p.m.

Events and entertainment are planned throughout the day at the Moose Lodge. Kids train rides begin at 1 p.m., Music by “Danno, Southbound Band and Night Shift” will be featured beginning at 1 p.m. and Volleyball also starts at 1 p.m. A silent auction will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. and a live auction is scheduled at 5 p.m. There will be 50-50 drawings and door prizes.

All proceeds of the event will go to Mid Michigan Hospice.

It is a “rain or shine” event and the public is welcome to attend.
