Bells Ring for Home Care and Hospice

Bells were heard in Clare and across the nation Wednesday at noon to commemorate National Home Care and Hospice Month. MidMichigan Home Care staff and volunteers gathered on the front lawn of MidMichigan Medical Center Clare for the annual ceremony, which honors former patients and their families. Churches across the county were also asked to ring their bells at the same time. More than 11 million Americans receive home care and hospice services annually. MidMichigan Home Care performed services for more than 500 patients, and health services for more than 3,500 patients last year, said MidMichigan Home Care President Chris Chesny.  Shown here MidMichigan Home Care Community Education Specialist Matt Staszak spoke briefly at the ceremony.
