Love Inc receives grant

 

   The Clare County Community Foundation has awarded Love INC of Clare County a grant for $5,000.00 to be used to support their mattress Ministry.

    Love In the Name of Christ opened their clearinghouse office early this year. They are a Christian organization made up of 12 area churches working together to help meet needs in our community. They discovered early on that there was a great need for beds in our county. No agency in Clare County provides furniture or beds to clients. Those two ministries have become very busy since opening. Men from several of the churches work together delivering, picking up and refurbishing furniture. Love INC has given out 33 beds since opening. We are able to match the grant, thus providing many more beds to families in need.

   The Clare County Community Foundation is a very active organization in our community. They strengthen our community by providing leadership, fostering collaboration on local needs and issues.  They also encourage a legacy of giving through grants, scholarships, and events.

   Love INC is very grateful to the Community Foundation for this grant and are excited to see how this will impact the families in this county.
