Hillside Elementary students will exit the busses in the bus lot and walk around the front and east end of  Hillside on the sidewalk and enter school by the main entrance.  Parents of students who normally are driven to school or who walk to school can bring their children to the front entrance and have them cross the playground with the staff to meet the other students when they get off the bus to walk with them.

DAY OF PRAYER
The National Day of Prayer will be observed this year on Thursday, May 7th. The National Day of Prayer is a vital part of our heritage. Since the first call to prayer in 1775, when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming a nation, the call to prayer has continued through our history, including President Lincoln’s proclamation of a day of “humiliation, fasting, and prayer” in 1863. In 1952, a joint resolution by Congress, signed by President Truman, declared an annual national day of prayer. In 1988, the law was amended and signed by President Reagan, permanently setting the day as the first Thursday of every May.
The Clare Area Churches invite all to a prayer vigil to be held Thursday, May 7, at Noon at the City Park on West Seventh Street across from City Hall. In case of rain, the vigil will take place at the Clare Congregational Church.
