The doors of the Clare County Museum Complex are open and a new season of old stuff is underway. Visit the historic Ott family cabin, one-room Dover schoolhouse and three centuries of history in our museum.
We are open every Saturday from 1 – 4 p.m. through Sept.
If your kids complain that their lives are hard, take them for a walk through the buildings and have them imagine what life was like 100 or so years ago.
Maybe they’ll better understand what “hard” means and better appreciate the easy life they have now.
But our museum is not meant to be a “stuffy, no fun” place. We have a military display, railroad and lumberjack artifacts, an old general store and doctor’s office, and much more.
Hey, we even have Spikehorn’s giant rabbit!
The Clare County Museum Complex is located at 7050 S Eberhart Ave, at the corner of Dover Road, northeast of Clare. Learn more at clarecountyhistory.org.
