Joseph Sarkozi
Joseph Sarkozi, age 86, of Harrison, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at his home. He was born the son of James and Elizabeth (Machauchak) Sarkozi on Nov. 24, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the US Navy during WWII, and married Marguerite Brown on July 3, 1948 and she survives him. Joseph had been a machinist by trade and had worked at Future Mold prior to retirement. Dolores D. (McKimmy) (Jones) Schnepp
Dolores was born on May 7, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Ottomar and Frances McKimmy. At the age of 78, after years of fighting the ill effects of diabetes, on January 21, 2012, Dolores went peacefully to sleep loving Jesus with family at her bed side. Wetzel L. “Nuke” Rodgers
Wetzel L. “Nuke” Rodgers, 83, of Clare, passed away January 11, 2012, surrounded by his family. Nuke was born in Temple, Michigan, on April 22, 1928 to Milford and Lulu (Earl) Rodgers. Upon his graduation from Harrison High School in 1947, Nuke went to work with the railroad until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950. As a member of the famed 45th Division, Nuke saw combat in the 120th Medical Clearing Company in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1952, having achieved the rank of corporal. Jude T. Fusco
Jude T. Fusco formally of Harrison, Michigan passed away on December 18, 2011, at the age of 76. He was the son of Marie Fanning of Harrison. He succumbed to the rare progressive neurological disease of MSA, multiple system atrophy. Jude was a graduate of architecture from the University of Toronto and a member of Psi U fraternity. He founded the architecture firm Fusco, Shaffer, Pappas, in Southfield, Michigan which specialized in housing for the elderly and health care. Jude was a member of the MIA and AIA.
