Madalene Aletha Seiter Birkmeier, age 92, of Clare passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at her home. Funeral Services for Madalene will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chuck Moerdyk officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rebekah Services at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on the day of the service from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice or to the Rosebush Presbyterian Church.  Envelopes will be available at [...]

Clifford G. Lettick

Clifford Garrison Lettick, age 93, of Clare, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Clare.  He was born the son of Charles and Millie (Durcham) Lettick on Nov. 2, 1919, in St. Louis, Michigan.  He graduated from St. Louis High School.  After high school he moved to Clare, where he lived all of his adult life and had served as a Volunteer Firefighter for several years.  He worked for a time for a tree trimming service and made a career of plumbing with 38 years of service with Bill Cerny Heating and Plumbing.  He had [...]

Robert “Jim” Griffor

Robert “Jim” Griffor, age 82, of Harrison, Michigan, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013 at his home. He was born the son of Robert and Freida (Zeihmer) Griffor on August 27, 1930 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Griffor owned and operated Pioneer Pole Buildings, alongside his son, Bob, retiring in 2005. He then went on to installing Husky metal roofs. In his spare time, he enjoyed sailing, boating, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Clinton D. Steinert

Clinton D. Steinert, Sr.- age 71 of Lake, passed away at North Woods Nursing Center on Sunday, April 21, 2013. He was born December 29, 1941 in Saginaw, MI. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing games on the Wii with his family.
