Clare, Farwell teens arrested for burglary spree in 3 counties

A call to the Clare County Sheriff’s Department about two breaking and entering complaints led to the discovery of a rash of 18 similar incidents over the night of February 9 in Clare, Isabella and Gladwin Counties and to the arrest of two men within three days in connection with all of the break-ins. Sheriff John Wilson said he was pleased the results of the joint investigation which quickly led to the arrest of two Clare County men. Harrison man sentenced for CSC with teen

Robert Thomas Hill-Johnson was sentenced to 18 to 40 years in prison Monday for Criminal Sexual Conduct with a 14-year old Harrison girl. Hill-Johnson was arrested and arraigned on four counts of 1st degree CSC in December, reportedly after his roommate turned him in to deputies. Clare County Prosecutor Michelle Ambrozaitis said Hill-Johnson, also from Harrison, “had initially dated the girl’s mother and lived in the family home for a period of time. Sheriff Wilson pleased with joint investigation

On 2-9·12 the Clare County Sheriff Deputies handled 2 breaking and entering complaints at two local gas stations. One was at Oak Ridge Party Store in Farwell the second was the North Marathon Gas Station located north of Harrison. It was discovered that during the night hours two unknown subjects had broken windows and gained access stealing cigarettes and alcohol. It was soon discovered that the City of Clare Police was also handling business breaking and entering complaints that happened over night also. Harrison man charged with CSC

 Responding to a complaint filed with the Clare County Sheriff’s Department, Hector Luis Mass, age 32, of Harrison was arrested February 3 and charged with one count each of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the first and second degree, involving a 13 year old Harrison girl. Criminal sexual conduct in the first and second degree typically apply to conduct involving personal injury to the victim, the use or threatened use of force, violence or a dangerous weapon; or victims who are extremely young. Harrison man arrested for CSC

On February  3, 2012 detectives from Clare County Sheriff Department handled a complaint of a Criminal Sexual Conduct involving a 13 year old Harrison girl. During the course of the investigation, detectives interviewed the suspect involved,. Based on the interview, the suspect was arrested and lodged in the Clare County jail. It was learned through the investigation that the alleged abuse has gone on for the past couple of years involving the suspect and victim.
