Man extradited from California, charged for CSC on Harrison boy

Paul Ignacio Johnson was arrested in California and extradited to Michigan to face charges stemming from a sexual assault of a four year old boy in Harrison. The investigation began in July, 2012 when agents from the United States Department of Homeland Security notified detectives at the Michigan State Police Mt. Pleasant Post about the possibility Johnson was molesting a 4 year old boy in Harrison. During the investigation it was learned Johnson had fled the state of Michigan. Man kicks out squad car after arrest

By Pat Maurer Review Correspondent A Harrison man, Dustin Middleton, 23, is facing multiple charges after he allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old Harrison man April 18. Deputies responded to the Cranberry Lake Road complaint in Hayes Township around 8:20 p.m. and arrested Middleton. While he was being transported to Clare County Jail, Deputies said he kicked out the real window of the patrol unit and damaged the vehicle’s door frame. At the jail the suspect reportedly assaulted corrections officers, with one officer taken to MidMichigan Medical Center – Clare for treatment of minor injuries. Three charged with assault, robbery of Gladwin gun shop

By Pat Maurer Review Correspondent Three suspects, all of Gladwin, have been arrested and arraigned for the March 18 assault and robbery at “Guns and Stuff” a small business at 895 Chappel Dam Road in Gladwin County’s Sage Township. Gladwin County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested one man, Michael Robert Bowman, 21, in Gladwin County. The other two, originally sought for questioning, were Rosalinda Martinez, 30, and Charles Howard Rowan, 25, both arrested in the Unionville/ Sebewaing area on March 20. MP woman allegedly steals $10K from Menards

By Pat Maurer Review Correspondent Kathleen Kolb of Mt. Pleasant had a lucrative internet business going until State Police Troopers interrupted her supply of merchandise. Kolb was allegedly taking items from the Mt. Pleasant Menard’s store and selling them on eBay. Kolb was arrested for Retail Fraud 1st Degree based on a January 8 incident. She had been under investigation since January 1, when Menard’s personnel alerted the MSP Mt. Pleasant Post that a woman was possibly stealing electronic dog collars from the store.
