Sigsbee graduates
On May 4, 2013, Dustin Sigsbee graduated Cum Laude from Central Michigan University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Dustin got his high school diploma from Farwell High School in 2006. He will be attending Western Michigan University for graduate studies and hope to achieve a master degree in philosophy. He plans to continue his education and one day get his doctorate degree. He is the son of Renee (Lambert) Sigsbee, a 1988 Farwell High School Graduate.

Farwell second at Carlstrom Memorial
By Ben Murphy Sports writer The Harrison track team served as hosts of the Mark Carlstrom Memorial Invitational on Friday, April 27, with Farwell, Michigan Lutheran Seminary and Montabella also attending. MLS won the girl’s meet with 72 points, Farwell placed second with 59, Harrison came in third with 30 and Montabella took fourth with 24. Farwell’s 3200 meter relay team of Ashley Gaskill, Abby Nordstrom, Julie Swinehart and Kayla Sharrow took second place while a Lady Hornet team consisting of Kayla McKenna, Rae Bundoff, Brianna Conner and Christine Brooks placed third. Farwell softball splits at tourney
The Farwell varsity softball team competed at the Bay City Central tournament on Saturday, going 1-1 on the day with an 8-5 loss to North Branch and 3-2 win over Grand Ledge. Kate Saupe suffered the loss in game on, giving up five earned runs on six hits, nine strikeouts and three walks. Jessie Theisen had three hits, including a home run and an RBI, Kelsey Seither and Alysha Luster both had two hits and one home run apiece, with Seiter adding two RBI and Luster driving in one.
