| Although the Harrison Community Library continues to struggle financially due to the loss of state funding and the loss of participation by the townships of Franklin, Frost, and Summerfield, the Board and staff still try to remain responsive to the needs and wishes of their many loyal patrons. In January hours were cut so the library could continue to serve the public but also to operate within its means. These cuts included being closed Saturdays. Read More... |

| OK, so it's almost over. Indoor archery season is well under way! We're having a wonderful time shooting in our newly designed indoor archery range. We've got a drop ceiling and new lighting that really makes a difference when you're sighting in on those targets. It's a great time and there is a day and time for all the archers in the family. When I was a child, I rode my bike to the library at least once a week. It was an "adult" thing I could do by myself. There I read and checked out books that made me realize there was a world beyond the small town I lived in. The librarian knew me and what I liked.
