One of the concerns in our country today is the ISIS threat. No one likes what is going on in Iraq and Syria. What is ISIS? Born from an especially brutal al Qaeda faction, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has grown from relative obscurity in recent years to overshadow its extremist patrons. It now terrorizes large swaths of Syria and Iraq, has become the target of the largest U.S. military operation in Iraq in years and, with the public, cold-blooded execution of multiple Westerners, dominates headlines the world over.

People here in the United States, look in disgust at what is going on, over there. We recoil in horror at the brutality of the ISIS troops, and the beheading of our journalist, and the children. But most people take the attitude that, it’s over there. If our country should suddenly become the center of such terrorist activities, we wouldn’t know how to react. Picture ordinary citizens being gunned down, and murdered by extremists wearing rags around their faces, and disappearing, only to reappear again, to murder more innocent people. I could be your neighbors, or even your family. They have no compunctions.

But the reality of that not happening, is fast disappearing. Our politician’s cannot agree on securing our borders. One of the very few things that the federal government is actually required to do by the U.S. Constitution is to defend our borders, and unfortunately the Obama administration has willingly chosen to leave our borders completely wide open. In fact, you can go down to the Texas border right now and watch illegal immigrants hop right across the Rio Grande.

With this in mind, remember the news reports that ISIS is crossing our borders to establish cells of terrorist within our borders. How can we be safe when the people we trust to guard and protect us are like the hired hand who leaves the hen house door open, He looks around and says, “I don’t see any foxes, or weasels, so there must not be any”. We need to firmly close the door to all the Illegal immigrants.

There are tens of millions of Latino-Americans in this country that are hardworking, law-abiding citizens. They have done things the right way, and it is extremely unfortunate that they often get lumped in with millions of illegal immigrants that willingly choose to break our laws. And it’s tragic that so many of our leaders aid and abet those who are sneaking across the borders into our country, by their neglect to take the initiative to seal our borders.

If ISIS does get into our country and start killing and disrupting our way of life, the blame is on our leaders. We, as a people need to start making our voices heard and begin demanding accountability in Washington. We need to begin to select leaders who will listen and take responsibility to keep us safe. Mr. President. President Reagan said to Gorbachov tear this wall down. Speaking of the Berlin Wall.

I say, as do many others, Mr. Obama, Put up the Wall between us and Mexico and Canada. Let those who come into our country do so legally. We will still welcome the Immigrant, but we cannot tolerate the Illegal.
