Armed robbery in Marion, do you recognise this man?

On 02/19/2012, at approximately 2207 hours, troopers from the Mt. Pleasant Post responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Marion Shell Gas Station located at 101 N Main St in Marion MI.  Upon arrival, troopers contacted and interviewed the station employees.  Troopers learned that a single white male wearing a white plastic hockey mask (with black tear drops drawn on sides of eye holes) entered the store, produced a large and shiny knife and demanded money and cigarettes.

The store clerk then gave the thief money from the store till and safe, as well as 12 cartons of cigarettes.  The thief was observed exiting the store and running to the west down main street by an eyewitness who was standing outside of the Marion Shell.  It appears that the suspect ran to a vehicle and left the scene.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’00 to 5’5.  The suspect was dressed in a black or dark jacket and was wearing blue jeans.  Anyone with information regarding the incident or suspect is encouraged to contact troopers at the Mt Pleasant Post at 989-773-5951.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by members of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department as well as Marion Police Officials.
