Art show at library

Surrey Township Public Library (STPL)will be hosting our first “Art in the Stacks” event on March 9 from 6 until 8 p.m.

Join us and our local artists for a night of refreshments and artwork. We are looking for people that would like to showcase their talents. Here are our guidelines to entering:

*May submit up to 5 items.

*Must be ready to display.

*Can be in any medium including, but not limited to; acrylics, oils, clay, carving, pastels, charcoal, and pencil.

*If you would like to sell your items, you must have a card with your information on it next to your display so that patrons can contact you.

*No nudity, profanity, or vulgar images.

*All registrations must be submitted by March 2.

Did you receive a new e-reader for Christmas but you aren’t sure how to use it? Would you like to start checking out ebooks through your library free of charge? Learn how on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-2 pm and 5-6 pm. Bring in your device along with any questions you may have. We will help guide you through how to use it and provide you with informational flyers. Bring your questions to us!

Adult Crafting

Learn a new craft at your library! On February 13 from 5-7 pm we will be beading jewelry. Registration is $10 and includes a beginner’s kit that comes with 2 pairs of pliers, beads, various hardware for making necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. There is a limit of 12 so if you would like to join us you must register by calling the library or stopping in.
