Clare Area Chamber Hosts Annual Golf Outing

The Clare Area Chamber Annual Golf Outing is coming up Friday, June 8, at Eagle Glen Golf Course in Farwell.  There is still time to sign up a four person team and for businesses to sponsor a hole for the event.

“Businesses that sponsor a hole will get their business name posted at one of the holes,” said Clare Area Chamber manager Lisa McCartney.  “This is a great opportunity for businesses to show support while getting some exposure.”

A four person team will have the opportunity to play 18 holes of golf with a cart and provided dinner afterwards. Door prizes and hot dogs on the turn will also be given out during the outing.  The teams will be participating in a scramble game and will begin with a shotgun start at noon.

“Everyone has a great time playing in the golf outing,” said McCartney. “Plus there is the opportunity to network with other business owners or community members.”

There are currently 12 teams registered for the golf outing. Golfers and attendees will have the opportunity to connect with others while having fun.

Donations for the outing are still being accepted. The Clare Area Chamber is encouraging interested business owners to donate a door prize to be given away at the dinner after the outing. There will also be prize holes and team prizes awarded during the dinner. Past prize holes in the have offered 18 holes of golf or golf clubs.

“We have received donations from businesses all over the Clare area,” said McCartney. “We have items such as coolers, gift certificates and 18 holes of golf.”

Anyone interested in participating, donating or sponsoring can contact the Clare Area Chamber at (989)386-2442, or online at www.claremichigan.com to register.
