The Mt Pleasant Department of Transportation Service Center has announced construction plans for this summer and for their five-year plan.
In Clare County, $1,385,067 will be spent on three projects for US-127 this year. The first project on northbound US-127 under Mannsiding Road will include deck patch, joint replacement, substructure repair and sealing.
The second project will be the roadway over Us-127 business route at the North Harrison interchange and includes deep overlay, full depth patching, full paint, substructure and barrier patching.
The third project, also on northbound US-127 under Mostetler Road will include a three beam retrofit and portions of the railing being replaced.
No other roadwork is scheduled in Clare County for 2012, but in the TSC five-year program, M61 is scheduled for $645,895 in work over the Muskegon River next year with work including overlay, patching, deck fascia repair, railing repair, steel repair and repair of the approach.
Also in 2013, M-61 from the county line to M-18 is scheduled for milling, overlay and shoulder work, for a total of $706,306.
Another 2013 plan includes a $485,100 project including g the property purchase, design and construction of a wetland Mitigation bank site in the Titabawasee River Watershed.
In 2014 plans include a $544,000 overlay on Clarabella Road over US-10 and in 2015 two projects are on the agenda; the overlay of the carpool parking lot at the US-127/Colonville exit ramp for $73,870; and a deep overlay on both US-127 northbound and southbound over Townline Creek at a cost of $428,000.
In 2016, the bridge on US-10 over Chippewa Creek is scheduled for replacement at a cost of $655,000.
