Dear Editor,
RE: Letter from Donna Longton

Appreciate your stand on values and the Bible. Founding Fathers, “warned against unrighteous men being put into public office.”

Speaking about public unrest from policies from the governing factors in our nation – I will share some scripture: Eph. 6:10-20 speaks of Spiritual warfare with the means by which to do this battle; (whole armor of God, with the Word of God being our sword.) Verse 12 tells where in this battle lies the evil in principalities meaning localities and rulers. Speaking boldly and prayer are essential with the word. (our sword)!

Backing this up: II Corinth. 10:3-6, informing us that our weapons for warfare against evil are mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds and of casting down evil imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity through Christ. To accomplish this – we have to be obedient and use our tools against evil no matter where it is.
We can’t just ask our Father to do for us – we have to care enough to be obedient by doing our part. The Bible contains a treasure hunt that will help in all relationships. The Bible is a road map to make it to heaven.

The Bible is an instruction sheet – for our journey here on Earth. With application of the text I gave earlier, bear in mind Paul and his authority of power and what effect the Father and Christ had over him as Paul’s leadership was turned into tremendous capability for the work of the Lord.
In due respect- in Christ,
Doris Weakland
