The Coleman Community Holiday parade committee would like to extend a huge note of appreciation to Coleman’s Mayor Gene Robinson.
Several weeks ago the communities parade committee approached the City’s Mayor with the idea of a fireworks display in celebration of the community’s’ 30th holiday parade.
Mayor Robinson liked the idea, gave his full support, and made a substantial donation along with a challenge to earn the remaining funds. With the help of the Coleman Downtown Business Association, the parade committee went to work ready to meet the Mayor’s challenge.
Local and surrounding businesses as well as residents in our community are working hard to meet the challenge, especially Jennifer Hubble.
The parade committee is holding a pop can drive now through December 14th with drop offs at Coleman’s City Hall during regular business hours. The Coleman Business Association has placed canisters in their stores and will also accept monetary donations for the parade committee.
The fireworks display will be for the entire community to enjoy. Let’s make this a community project and get everyone involved. Together we will meet Mayor Robinson’s challenge!
