Loeb has it all wrong!

Dear Editor,
Mike I have to take you to task over the letter you published by Catherine Loeb.
Her letter is specious in nature. In her first paragraph, she states that the U.S.A. is a democracy! The U.S.A. is not a democracy, thank God. Democracy is mob rule. The U.S.A. is a constitutionally limited republic!
She then is concerned about how much money Wayne Laperre makes. He earns every cent he is paid. He does a good job and is compensated justly for it.
Jackson and Sharpton are race hustlers. Ms, Mrs, Loeb didn’t vet their finances. Why? They have probably not ever held a real job.
She then denigrates the oldest civil rights organization in the country, N.R.A. All amendments to the constitution are RIGHTS. Without the 2nd, all the others wouldn’t be worth the paper they are printed on.
Yes I believe in standing your ground, it worked for me in my driveway two years ago. I simply displayed the handgun and the young miscreant made a rapid change of plans.
Michigan Constitution 1963, Article 1 – Section 6
Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state! No, If’s, ands or buts. If she wants to be a steeple, more power to her. Guns were not invented with hunting and target shooting as their primary reason! Self-defense!
Guns are safer today than they ever have been. There are no sensible gun laws! Felons and those convicted of domestic violence are prohibited under federal and state law from possessing any firearm or ammunition.
My right to self-preservation has nothing to do with a bad law or money interests. You physically attack me and I’m going to defend myself, any way I can. I’m not going to retreat or run. I’m a seasoned citizen and I don’t run well.
Sorry Loeb, but my display of my handgun, in my driveway and on my property most likely saved me an ass whoopin, by a young punk. If you’re ever confronted I wish you luck, you’re going to need it!
T.A.K. Lake
