New word describes today’s America

November 14, 2011

“Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) – a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.”

This is very similar to the warning issued by Alexander Tytler, in England, over four hundred years ago when he stated: “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can exist only until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury – with the result that democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always to be followed by a dictatorship. ”

While this “policy” commenced much earlier, it has increased significantly since 1989 becoming even worse since 2009. Check out the Occupy Wall Street crowd, financed and promoted by certain wealthy and power-mad individuals and organizations. Peter Brown’s comments in his recent Letters to the Editor concerning the crisis in Greece as it relates to America, is a further example of the problems we are facing. Wake up America, or, you will continue to lose the freedoms fought so valiantly for by our Founding Fathers.
