Responds to Nicholson letter

November 10, 2017

To the editor,

In response to Payton Nicholson’s letter of 10-27-17.

Payton you denigrate our food industry. Then you claim that animals are sentient animals. Science has not proven that to be a fact. All living animals feel pain. That doesn’t mean that they think and reason like humans.

If they are illegal immigrants, they should go home and get a job in their homeland. I really doubt that conditions there will be better. People make choices as to what they consume. Nobody is out there forcing them to eat anything. Personal responsibility, not force feeding.

You complain about the environment. If there weren’t 300 million plus people to feed in this country, the environment might be better. By the way, there have never been more deer, turkey, pheasant and other wildlife than today. Wild life management, by us ignorant human beings.

If these things bother you, have your doctor prescribe a non-habit-forming sleeping pill or try melatonin, they both work great.

In the end you state that the animals your supermarket sells, meat and poultry are fed plants. All herbivores eat plants, duh. Don’t worry about the rest of us. Be responsible for yourself. You will probably have a lot less stress in your life.
