The federal government lacks authority on Marriage

October 25, 2013

Dear Editor:
The 10th Amendment of The United States Constitution, also called The Bill
Of Rights clearly states that “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

The Federal Government doesn’t have any powers in the issue of Marriage and Marriage licenses are also not issued by the Federal Government. In my opinion, The Federal Government has zero authority over our marriage laws.

We the people of Michigan voted on this issue already and The Marriage between one Man and one Women become apart of our Michigan State Constitution.

Those attempting to undermine our State Constitution in Michigan claim that two men or two women have the right to get married as one man and one women because of federal law that states equal protection under the law.
This is a failed argument for obvious reasons, two men and/or two women can’t reproduce as one man and one women therefore they are not equal and not protected under federal law.

We must assert our GOD given rights and limitations placed upon government by The Constitution.
