Tom, Tom, Tom

Dear Editor:

First we have the freedom of speech, and second we have the freedom of the press. I find you fascinating Tom, for a man that professes to have only the best interest of the community at heart, and then tries to intimidate people in/through the press and squash their voices.

Yes Tom there are people that may write letters just to be malicious and most people that read them, can figure it out.

Then there are good honest hard working people, who are afraid of reprisal, intimidation, name calling, and general bully type tactics much like in your letter. We have to take the good with the bad. Thank GOD we live in America where we have certain inalienable rights that are protected by our constitution and bill of rights.

PS Tom, are you donating the land for the new city pump station or helping paying for it as you and yours mentioned you would in the past? Your generosity in this matter would surely help every citizen in the city. I think people and families should keep and live up to their word! I mean if your word is no good, then you are no good to put it simply, what do you think Tom?

    Mr. TOM KOCH,
I would like to say for one, I am very happy that a Wal-Mart store
may be coming to Clare. It is called progress. I also have a few questions or maybe I should say statements for you.
Is it not true that your wife worked for Wal-Mart for over 20 years,
is it not true that you get a lifetime discount card through this company. Lastly, did your wife not become a District Manager of this company. I really do not appreciate your trash talk of Wal-Mart. Yes I know it is called Freedom of Speech. In closing I say, Welcome to Clare WAL-MART!
