Clare BPA Wins Again
Twenty nine Clare High School students qualified for the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference this year. Twenty six left for Grand Rapids, Michigan to compete on March 22nd where they joined over 2,000 students from other high schools across the state in various competitions.
C.H.S. had sixteen students who placed and/or were recognized at States. The Administrative Support Team with members Josh Kinberg, Laura Mater, Tessa Houvinen, and Abigail Denton took 3rd place. Also taking 3rd place was the Presentation Management Team with members Carlee Williamson, Abigail Showalter, Ryan Seiter, and Brooke Painter.
Six individuals placed including Abigail Denton in Economic Research Project earning 5th place, Brooke Painter in Interview Skills earning 6th place, Saleen Picard with her Economic Research Project earning 8th place, Molly Cole in Integrated Office Applications earning 8th place, Caitlin Field in Fundamental Accounting earning 9th place, and Laura Mater in Advanced Word Processing earning 9th place.
Nine students were recognized in the Torch Awards Program. They earned points for serving their community and taking on leadership roles. These individuals included Chris Dysinger, Caitin Field, Josh Kinberg, Teressa Griffith, Tessa Houvinen, Laura Mater, Aaron Stutzman, Nick Montini, and Sarah Wolfe.
