Two business owners arrested in Clare County

On 6-14-12 Detectives from the Clare County Sheriff’s Department arrested two business owners in Harrison. The arrests stem from an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale of Marijuana.

The Clare County Sheriff’s Department has received numerous complaints about the Mid-Michigan Care Givers Club selling Marijuana out of the business located in Hayes Township. Detectives also stated that the complaints were also alleging that sales were being made to individuals who were not patients of the care giver.

A continued investigation and surveillance led Detectives to witnesses, the information gathered led to the arrests on today’s date. Two search warrants were executed at the business and also a residence in Hayes Township where a large amount of Marijuana money and a vehicle was seized.

The two Hayes Township residents/business owners remain lodged in the Clare County Jail. They will be formally charged by Prosecuting Attorney Michelle Ambrozaitis and arraigned on 6-15-12 in the 80th District Court.
