he Annual Fundraising Dinner for Joshua’s House Maternity Home was held on Thursday September 26, 2019 packing the dining hall at the Clare Church of the Nazarene. Guests arrived from all over the state of Michigan to support Clare County’s only homeless shelter for pregnant women.

David Smith a student from Farwell High School entertained the guests before the program and during dinner. He also spoke on the importance of preserving life as he touched many hearts with his testimony of how a “no check policy” saved his life many years ago. All in attendance were amazed at his story and impressed by his words of encouragement regarding his stance for protecting life.

One of the highlights of the evening took place as Rene’e Jeffords, Executive Director of Joshua’s House, announced that renovations for the new ultrasound room have begun. The project is expected to be completed by late July of 2020. Applause and cheers were heard throughout the banquet room at this news and the supporters were excited to see Joshua’s House, a place of Hope moving forward standing strong and caring for our future, one mother at a time. The moment was captured by Sarah Davis Photography.

Joshua’s House raised just over $33,000.00 for this annual event. A huge thank you goes out to all of the sponsors, underwriters, guests, volunteers and staff that put so much effort into making this event a success!!
